Newly re-elected Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer made a special appearance at the April 12th meeting of the BusinessForce Board of Directors.

With a brand new mandate from City of Orlando voters resulting from his landslide victory in the April 3rd primary election, Dyer expressed his appreciation for the role BusinessForce, the political action arm of the Central Florida Partnership, played in his re-election campaign. He particularly singled out the work of a special BusinessForce committee appointed by BusinessForce Chair Jay Galbraith of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment and headed by John McReynolds of Universal Orlando Resort who organized, funded and coordinated a targeted get-out the-vote (GOTV) campaign on Election Day. Dyer also thanked board member Craig Swygert for the donation of strategically placed billboards encouraging voter participation on Election Day.

Dyer also added his praise for the collaborative relationship between his administration and the Central Florida Partnership on a number of important community and regional priorities and indicated he looked forward to continuing a positive relationship that would continue to move the city forward. Following Dyer's remarks, John McReynolds was called upon by Chair Galbraith to propose a toast on behalf of the BusinessForce Board of Directors to the Mayor's electoral success and his leadership.
