Tallahassee Third Week Legislative Update
Senator Simmons Files Bill to Create a Regional Expressway System

This week's legislative update comes from Senator David Simmons (District 10), who this past week filed Senate Bill 230 that would rename the Orlando-Orange County Expressway System as the "Central Florida Expressway System"; providing for the transfer of governance and control, legal rights and powers, responsibilities, terms, and obligations to the authority.

Florida Representative Steve Crisafulli (District 51), provides his weekly legislative update, highlighting the most recent job figures, noting 198,000 more jobs in Florida this year than last year, and a 6.1% unemployment mark.

Additionally, we have an update from Representative Bryan Nelson (District 31), who provides an update concerning automobile tag fee reductions which could save Florida citizens $400 million.
